Research on the mobility of the elderly in Genoa.
The study aims to identify the mobility characteristics of over 65-year-old residents in the municipality of Genoa. Genoa is an important case study for the theme of Silver Mobility because it is the oldest large city in Italy with 28% of the population over 65, an index of old age that surpasses 250% and an average age of over 48.In particular the work undertaken with the CATI enquiry enabled identifying data such as travel movements, ways of travelling, reasons for travelling, travel times, opinions on pedestrian mobility and TPL, tendency to use technology,…
The analysis in question was identified to participate in the “SilverBus” Project whose partners are Genoa Municipality, AMT and the Galliera Hospital.
